Heartstrings

Everyone on this planet is connected by Heartstrings. They are these invisible lines that connect us to anyone that we’ve met even for a brief second. They are our bonds to other humans and living things. Some heartstrings are really strong, and some are weak. Some pervade the entire Earth.

There are, of course, ghosts or evil creatures who try to take over these heartstrings, and consume them for their own devious purposes. And there are the Heartstrings Warriors. They are the protectors of this realm, protecting us unsuspecting humans from everyone beyond. The demons, the darkness, the evil, cannot affect us, because we are protected by them. They are watching, and they are guarding us.

The story follows one of them from a hospital room, to a cafe, and to other parallel universes.
