You Are A Writer, Because You Write. You Are A Dancer, Because You Dance.

  • Reading time:4 mins read

I have noticed this tendency in me to brush off people when they tell me, “Oh, that’s wonderful. You are a writer.” This usually happens when I tell them that I write every single day, that I am a writer at heart, and that I have a few novels published on Amazon. I laugh it off. “Oh, no, I’m not a ‘real’ writer. I don’t have ‘real’ novels published, by ‘real’ publishing houses, and I am not recognized by the literary world as a ‘real’ writer.”

Of course, I have realized that this is all nonsense. I never say this exact thing to someone else who tells me they have a novel published or they are writing a blog. If they are writing, they are a writer to me. I realize that people unnecessarily put random criteria on these things.

I’m only a writer if I have a book published by a major publishing house. Or I am only a dancer if I appear on a dance show or in a dance troupe. I am only a musician if I have an album, and fans. I am only something if I am recognized by hundreds of others for it. And perhaps, also paid hundreds of dollars for it. Preferably millions. (more…)

Life Purposes Are Malleable and Change Over Your Lifetime

  • Reading time:21 mins read

Having life purposes matters. So many people ask me how I came up with my current life purpose (I help people live their Level 10 lives with my words, videos, and podcasts). They wonder about my brand name, The Millionaire Hippie, and about the FB group with the same name that I created. Why are you doing all of this, they ask?

The Journey To My Life Purpose

When people start asking me all of these questions, I know it is because they themselves are going through a similar journey of discovery and are looking for answers. Maybe they are searching for their life purpose, or maybe they know what they are supposed to be doing with their life, but they are too afraid to take the first step.

They are asking me about my journey. In that moment, I wished I could have had someone following me around with a videocamera throughout my life. This way everyone asking me questions could see how everything in my life has been bringing me up to this point of discovery.

Everything that has happened in my life has happened so I could at this point in my life discover my life purpose and execute it.

It seems like a bold statement to make. But it is the truth. Everything that has happened and will happen in your life is happening for a reason. A very clear reason that will only be apparent to you in hindsight. But that reason exists.

In that regard, I decided to forget about the videocamera, and document all of the different trends in my life that I believe have bought me up to this point. Maybe this will prove the idea to or not. But in my mind, right now, sitting on the ground in my condo in Toronto, it seems like a grand idea.

The Start

I was born in New Delhi, India on a hot summer day, or that’s what my parents tell me. The hospital I was born into is one of the best teaching hospitals in the world. I think that marks the start of my long career of loving to learn and wanting to learn more all the time. I’m one of the most curious people you will find on this planet. (more…)

Life Purpose Is Necessary for the Good Life [EP5]

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about why you need to find your life purpose.

You see until I found my life purpose, life was a little off-color just like a movie played in black and white. It felt like everything was a bit bland. Before my life purpose:

  • I felt restless and moved around from country to country, feeling meh.
  • Moved from job to job, feeling bored, and useless.
  • I jumped around from relationship to relationship, feeling unstimulated, and unexcited.

My Online Business Is My Life Purpose And It Drives Every Moment Of My Life

  • Reading time:7 mins read

I woke up at 439am today to work on my life purpose – my online business.

Yes, I’m a morning person. Please don’t hate me. But before I quit my 9-5 and started my own online business, I used to wake up at 7am thinking that’s early enough.

Even so, I had no real purpose in life or aim.

I meandered for a whole decade (from 22 to 32)

  1. I spent way too much of my time on drama. You know that needless drama created by yours truly to add some spice into your life (watch out for that drama creator in yourself and stop her before she gets too big for her britches).
  2. I spent way too much time:
    1. Crying over being single or
    2. Being in relationship with someone unworthy or
    3. Meeting the wrong kind of guys or
    4. Meeting the right kind of guys at the wrong time.
  3. I spent way too much time in my head:
    1. Over-analyzing useless crap,
    2. Incessantly worrying over inconsequential matters, and
    3. Feeling anxiety over the unrealized (and unpredictable) future.
  4. I spent way too much planning out my future purchases and spending the money I was going to earn before I had even earned it. All of my cash was earmarked for cute shoes, and lots of travel (travelling for the sake of travelling).

13 Questions That Will Help You Find Your Life Purpose

Are you living up to your infinite potential?

This is a hard post to write because it reminds me of the time in my life when I was miserable and unfulfilled.

But I want to do it to help everyone who’s dealing with this misery. It is such an important topic that I want to shout it out from the top of rooftops. I wish everyone knew what I know now.

Before I Knew My Life Purpose

Before I figured out my life purpose and started living up to my potential, taking advantage of my talents and abilities, living my true self according to my deepest authentic self, I used to walk around with a severe inferiority complex.

  • I had a hard time looking others in the eye.
  • I had a hard time looking myself in the eye.
  • I had a hard time with silence because I was afraid of finding out the truth – the truth being that I am wasting my time here on Earth and I have a limited amount of time to rectify that.
  • I had a hard time with my worthiness. I felt like I didn’t deserve to be alive, to take up space, to get my share of the pie.
