Don't Lose Hope

It Can Be Easy To Lose Hope In This World But We Must Not

I have been kind of noticing a trend in the world where a lot of us empaths, and HSPs, and others, are kind of losing hope in the world. But don’t lose hope, is the message of this post here.

There’s so much bullshit happening in the world, where sometimes all I want to do is throw up my hands in the air, and say, “I give up. You win. I give up. Take over the world, damn Nazis, and just go away. Leave me alone, and just do your thing. I can’t deal with you anymore.”

But, of course, the more I think about it, the more I say to myself, “No, you cannot give up. If you give up, they’ve won. Don’t you see that you cannot allow them to win? They must not be allowed to win. They cannot be allowed to win. If evil wins, then we are all in trouble, not just a few of us. But all of humanity is in trouble if evil wins.”

The more I think about evil winning in this world, the more I fear for this world in general. I tell myself that this cannot be. I should be more vigilant.

I need to pay more attention. Speak up against the madness that is going on in the world.

Therefore, I decided to write this post. I try to keep all of my writings fairly politics-free, and this one is no exception. I am not going to speak about how I disagree with some of the political happenings in the world.

I have no right to speak to it because I am not an expert in world politics.

But I Know When Something Is Immoral And Needs Speaking Against

As I said, I am not political. I am not an expert in politics.

But I do know this. I know when something going on around me or in the world is wrong and needs to be spoken against.

The problem with politics right now is that all of us have become disillusioned with it. We think there’s no point participating in it because it won’t matter anyway.

No matter who we vote for, or who we support, they all turn out to be idiots in some way or another. Or they all end up doing things that make us lose faith in humanity over and over again.

It’s easy, really easy to lose faith in humanity sometimes. It is easy to believe that there is no point in us being alive and even trying to do anything well.

Sometimes, I will be getting up every morning to do my creative work, my videos, or sitting down to write this post, and think to myself, “What is the point? Why do I even bother?” But the point is that even if it feels like it doesn’t, all of this matters. Everything matters.

Every Act We Do Or Don’t Do Has An Impact On This World

You’ve probably heard of the adage, “A butterfly beating its wings in South America, causes a hurricane in Japan.” Or something like that.

That butterfly, that tiny little thing, beating its wings in the middle of nowhere, could not have imagined, and cannot have known that its movement, its fragile, innocent movements, could have caused a hurricane somewhere else.

We are the same as that butterfly. Fragile. Innocent. Small, but more powerful than we imagine.

Maybe you are thinking that it doesn’t matter. No matter what you do, it won’t matter. But, you have no idea how your actions, no matter what they might be, will result in something major and something big, maybe in one person’s life, or maybe in many people’s lives.

We don’t perform the act so we can change lives. We are performing the act. After all, we don’t want to lose hope because we want to ensure that we keep on working on improving the world as much as possible.

Even If I’m The Last Person In The World With Hope – Don’t Lose Hope

Sometimes it feels like everyone around me has already given up, and I’m the only person on the planet with any hope left behind.

I get it. It’s hard maintaining hope despite all of the mad stuff that is going on on this planet. I understand absolutely and perfectly.

I don’t want to say anything to you to force you to have hope. In my opinion, all humans are born with a lot of hope, and they can keep that hope running inside of them, burning forever if they just try.

It is easy to give up. It is the easiest thing on the planet to become a bitter, twisted, hopeless, resentful, negative black hole of a human. It is the easiest thing in the world to do that.

But, having hope, takes work. A lot of work.

Having hope takes a lot of work. More than that, to have hope in this world where everyone seems to have given up hope, where everyone has given up living their true life, where everyone has given up speaking up… that’s the real thing. That takes real effort and courage.

To be a real human being in a world full of zombies, that’s the hard thing to do.

But we have to take up that challenge.

Don’t Lose Hope In This Crazy World

This could be a book title, “How To Stay Hopeful Even In A Crazy Fucked-Up World.” But the truth is that it is possible. It will take a little bit of conscious effort on your part.

Just like everything else, the hopelessness of this world is kind of put front and center, so if you go on Facebook or Social Media, you might think that everyone hates everyone, and there’s nothing good happening in the world at all.

But there is a lot of good stuff happening on the planet. There are a lot of good people out there doing a lot of good things. It can be easy to get distracted from all of this good because the media is so focused on the negativity.

For example, when the story of the Trump administration separating illegal immigrants from their families became popular, there was a lot of hate-filled news in all of my feeds.

It felt like the world was going to absolute shit. But then, I saw this news story about how a San Francisco couple wanted to raise $1,500 for one immigrant family’s aid, and they ended up raising $10 MILLION freaking dollars!! I mean, if this doesn’t make your heart sing, then I don’t know what will.

This is us retaliating against the hate and hopelessness. This couple has shown you how to change the world and to fight back even if you feel like the world is going to pieces.

The World Is Doing Better Than We Give It Credit

Sometimes it feels like the balance is tipping towards evil, doesn’t it?

You look around, the oceans are clogged up and 90% of the fishes are gone, the rivers are dirty and filled with plastic, forests are being removed at a rapid rate to make Palm Oil for Nutella sandwiches, and the Nazis are back in the form of an orange-headed Orangutan (sorry Orangutans!) called Trump.

A bit harsh maybe.

But then, maybe that’s what the powers that be want us to believe. Maybe that’s what they want us to think. That the world is going to shit, and the world is going to tip over into disaster at any moment.

I want us all to believe that there is a lot of good happening in the world and that the world is going to keep on getting better and better. And that’s why I wrote this post.

As a start to it all for me. Not really for anyone else, but me. I want to believe that there is a lot of good on this planet still, and it comes in all different shapes, sizes, colors, and sexualities.

I want to believe it, and I am going to keep on believing it. The world isn’t going to shit as we all believed before. Don’t lose hope.

Now, I Don’t Want Us To Ignore The Bad Stuff…

Let’s not be completely unaware of the bad shit that is going on in the world, but let’s not ignore all the good stuff as well.

I am not saying that I want us to live in a bubble of sorts, and pretend like everything is fine and dandy, while a fire burns our house down. But I want us to realize that there is some sort of loose balance that is being struck in the world right now. There is always going to be good and evil.

Perhaps, the amount of evil right now seems a bit exorbitant. But that can also just be perception.

All we can do as individuals is to do our level best to bring more good into the world. That is what we all should be moving towards. Bringing as much good onto the planet and into the world as possible.

From the smallest thing, such as smiling towards everyone, and being kind to everyone. To the bigger things, such as eliminating racism as much as possible, and voting for the right people.

The little stuff matters as much as the big stuff. If you are a parent, raising your children right matters as much as being kind to your neighbors, and participating in the political system by showing up and voting for the right person.

I hope I have been able to make sense in this post, and I hope to see you guys on the side of good, and on the side of making a difference in any little way possible.

Please don’t lose hope.
