[Ep 36] 7 Days Of Learning – Daring Greatly by Brene Brown

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this third episode of the 7 Days Of Learning, I’ll be chatting about one of the best books I’ve read on shame and vulnerability.

I love Brene Brown (her Ted Talk blew me away). Her thorough research on such an obscure and hard to study topic impressed me greatly. I love her book because she has obviously felt shame and vulnerability herself and is speaking from direct experience, not just bookish knowledge.

We all experience feelings of shame at some point, yet very few of us find the courage to reach out and talk about it. We make it taboo, ignoring and letting it grow bigger than it should.

In her book, Brown takes a hard look on vulnerability, why are afraid of it and how it affects different aspects of our lives.

She does not hesitate to share some insights of her own life to illustrate her view points. (more…)

[Ep 35] 7 Days Of Learning – The Power Of Habit by Charles Duhigg

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this second episode of the 7 Days Of Learning, I’ll be discussing how habits actually work, how they form, and how we can change them for the better!

The Power Of Habit is not only an inspiring read, but also an amazing tool that can help you develop and maintain good habits.

Duhigg breaks habits down into three components, which makes for an easier understanding of the process.

We all have, at some point in our lives, started a new habit, with the best intentions in the world, and let it die right after. Think about that gym subscription, or the Zumba class you joined, but ended up forgetting about a few weeks later.

Why is it that we often seem to put great efforts and time into new habits at the start, but give up soon after? (more…)

[Ep 34] 7 Days Of Learning – The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks

  • Reading time:2 mins read

Today, I am starting a 7 days series, on books that have influenced me. Each day I’ll be discussing different books that have changed my thinking, helping me to become a better person and grow as an individual.

In this first podcast of the series, I will be chatting about ‘The Big Leap’, by Gay Hendricks. This book is all about taking the leap in your Zone of Genius.

The book says we are all unique individuals, with our own genetic structures, talents, and abilities.

“Most of us have a thermostat on how happy we can be.”

Despite having the potential to live in our Zone of Genius, many of us only focus on a Zone of Excellence: making good money, getting promoted, being praised by our family, yet feeling empty and dry on the inside. Why is that? (more…)

[Ep 32] Part 2: Are New Souls Recycled Old Souls?

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be talking more about the fascinating topic of recycled souls and where they originate from.

A friend of mine once came to me with the question of where these new souls came from?

This got me thinking. We’ve all been surrounded at some point in our lives by old souls, people that seem wiser than their years.

Many new lives are created each day, many babies are born. How does the universe proceed to gift these new souls to the world?

I want to share with you my personal opinion on the matter. I believe that old souls pass on learning and show the way to newer souls, and that in the end, the old and the new are one and the same. (more…)

[Ep 31] Part 1: Are New Souls Recycled Old Souls?

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this episode, I will be discussing the topic of new souls and how they come about in my humble opinion.

To simplify things, I believe there are two kinds of souls: old souls and new ones. These new souls are at the very beginning of their journey, eager to learn, experience and gain wisdom.

It can be quite overwhelming to grasp this concept of collective consciousness, where all beings are interconnected, and where old souls end up vanishing away when they are done with their learning. New souls come from these old souls who want to re-start all over again.

‘All spirits are like little babies, they always want to be learning, always want to ask questions’. (more…)

‘Why Are You Living A Shitty Mediocre Life?’ Everyone Else Around Me Is Doing The Same.

  • Reading time:12 mins read

Now that I have been living my ideal life for the past few months, I have been thinking a lot about why I didn’t do this earlier.

Was I not aware that it was possible to live my ideal life? Did I not know that the possibility existed? Or was I just content living a shitty, mediocre life because everyone else around me was living a shitty, mediocre life as well?

In my humble opinion, no matter what excuse I come up with for being ignorant for the first 33 years of life, they all do not suffice. I always knew lots of people who were living amazing awesome lives that I was extremely jealous of. I knew people were doing it.

But in my head for some bizarre reason, this amazing life was possible for everyone else but not for me.

Is that a thought that goes through your head as well?

Do not fear my friend. I’m here to let you know, not only that this debilitating thought exists in everyone’s head, but I am going to tell you, that your IDEAL life is just over on the other side of this miserable thought.

So let’s do this thing. Let’s break down this thought to its essence and see that the monster that it portrays is just a tiny little adorable Tasmanian Devil who can’t really do anything to us. (more…)

[Ep 30] This Magical Joyful Life That We Live

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this episode, I will be talking about the excitement, the joy of being alive.

What does it mean to be happy? For most people, positive states are rare and only come at certain times to punctuate negatives states of mind. But being happy, feeling the joy of life, comes from our internal self, rather than from the outside world. We are responsible for our own happiness.

The universe is a reflection of our thought process. It is a manifestation of our own feelings and emotions.

We are the creators of our everyday situations. What matter is inside of us.

Outside sources of positivity are only illusions. Only us, individually can pave the road to perpetual joy: ‘My internal being is happy and nothing can phase her happiness’.

And while it is normal to be fearful, doubtful or anxious regarding other people’s judgement (e.g. our family, relatives, lovers, and friends), what truly matters is how we feel about our choices, accomplishments and realizations. (more…)

[Ep 29] Build Synchronicity Through Meditation

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about how to use meditation to build synchronicity.

As most of you may know, I spend a lot of time meditating. I also recommend meditation as a tool for pretty much everything. Whatever you are trying to improve in your life (personal or professional), meditation is always my solution to that something!

These long hours spent sitting down in stillness, taught me how to pay attention and live in the moment.

As I meditate more, I become more attuned to what my gut is telling me, and as I listen more, I become more synchronized with the universe as a whole.

As a result, I became more aware of the messages the universe is sending towards me. I can ask the universe for something and the universe sends me signals on how to receive that particular item in the best manner possible.

I am at peace with myself, and I want you guys to be able to build up that synchronicity, become more alert, and be able to follow your intuition more. (more…)
