7 Donts To Beat The Consistency Monster At Its Own Game

  • Reading time:5 mins read

There are so many options in this beautiful world of ours. So many things we can try and do. That sometimes we end up doing nothing. We try and start a number of items. And we end up completing none.

Since I initiated the 30 Day Consistency Challenge for my loyal subscribers, I have had many tell me their stories of starting and never finishing. They call consistency the beast they never conquered. The monster that sits under their bed mocking their non-finished items.

I don’t want us to give consistency so much power by calling it a monster. We are the masters here of our own habits. Or at least we should be.

In my own life, I have found there are seven things I have to focus upon in order to stay consistent. Call them habits, or thought patterns. Whatever they are, they are necessary for me to stay on the consistency bandwagon.

[Ep 8] Every Little Thing You Do Matters Even If No One Else Sees It

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be talking about the concept of “believing”—believing in yourself and believing that everything you are doing is making a difference in this world.

Do you believe that in order to be influential on this planet, you need to make a massive change?

We are told that we need to do a lot of big things in order to be important, like make billions of dollars, or, donate millions to charity. If we don’t make such massive change, we are useless, and we are not doing enough (or that’s what we believe).

Unfortunately, this leads most of us to do nothing. The peak seems too high for us to scale. We fear it and we falter. We fall back upon mediocrity.

[Ep 7] Increase Your Rate Of Failure To Increase Your Rate Of Success

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be talking about failure and how the more you fail, the more you increase your chance of success.

We are taught from a very early age to fear failure and avoid it as much as possible. We are punished for failing, and taught to see failures as the worst thing possible. By the time we graduate from high school, taking risks becomes uncommon.

Following the trend, as adults we don’t take risks because we’re afraid to take risks. But the people who do take risks, who don’t let the fear of failure overcome them, end up being the most successful amongst us.

That’s a really good indicator of what we should really be doing.

Doubt Is My Friend Now

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about the concept of doubt and how it will stay with you forever and ever.

It isn’t something that only occupies the unsuccessful; it is something that pervades every soul on this planet, no matter how successful they are.

Even the most influential people! People might be at the pinnacle of success, but they are still going to wonder, ‘Am I an imposter? Do I even know what I’m talking about? How did I get here? They are going to find out I’m a fraud and kick me out.’

5 Money Blocks That Everyone Needs To Be Aware Of

What are Money Blocks?

When I first started my business, I realized one major thing that I believe is the reason for my success.

I realized that my worst enemy is myself.

Self-sabotage is one of the major items keeping anyone from success.

We don’t need to worry about others killing our success, when we ourselves do such an amazing job at it. In my case, I sabotage myself with negative thoughts, procrastination, self-doubt, and improper energy management. These are my arch-nemesis.

One of my main negative thoughts is about money. I call them my ‘Money Blocks’. I have been using this term with a lot of my clients and they are always intrigued by it. The thing about money blocks is that they are a subconscious killer… a silent killer, so to speak.

All of us have some sort of money blocks transmitted to us by our ancestors, our parents, our society, our friends, our governments, the media, and whatsoever other influence you might have.

Money blocks are pervasive in society now as people denounce rich people (calling them evil or similar terms), and label poor people as spiritually minded and ‘good’.

[Ep 5] Without Our Life Purpose, Nothing Sticks And Everything Feels Meh

  • Reading time:3 mins read

Goal: Find Life Purpose

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about our life purpose and why finding it matters!

You see until I found my life purpose, life was a little off-colour just like a movie played in black and white. It felt like everything was a bit bland. Before my life purpose, I:

  • Felt restless and moved around from country to country, feeling meh.
  • Moved from job to job, feeling bored, and useless.
  • Jumped around from relationship to relationship, feeling unstimulated, and unexcited.

10 Fears Keeping Us From Living Fulfilling Lives

What Causes Success

Do you know fear – it’s our archenemy?

When I was younger, I used to wonder why some people had a lot of success in their life – people look up to them, people admire them, people want to be them… Whereas, there were other people who lived lives of quiet desperation – no one even cared if these people lived or died (harsh, I know).

I read hundreds of books on self-help, personal growth, and development, in order to solve this mystery. Over time, I realized that fear was the one thing that held people back from being an astounding success (and consistency, but we have spoken about that previously).

Successful people are full of fear, doubt, anxiety, frustration, anger, jealousy.. just like the unsuccessful people.

We are all the same on the inside.

Work Horror Stories? Life Isn’t Supposed To Be Like This.

Ever since I quit my job and shared my story with the people in my life, I have had several people come up to me (virtually and in real life) and tell me their work horror stories.

  • Working long hours without pay,
  • Letting people go and their workload lumped in with yours,
  • Not letting you go on vacation because there isn’t any backup available, etc.

I’m sure I don’t need to tell you these stories – you are probably living them in your own life.

But the thing that saddened me the most was how often people would tell me that they came home from their jobs and spent a few minutes or hours every day crying in their kitchen or on their couches.

Instead of taking the time away from their jobs to relax, they were spending it in misery, and sadness.

That really irked the hell out of me.

I wanted to shout from the rooftops – This isn’t how it’s supposed to be. Life is supposed to be easy. Humans aren’t supposed to work so damn hard.

5 Major Blocks That Keep Us From Quitting Corporate

Quitting Corporate Is Scary

I have been through it all.

The despair, the heartache, the fear, the doubt, the anxiety, the joy, the ups and the downs, the plunge and the high… Every entrepreneur who decides to take the plunge goes through this drama in their heads.

The problem is we let the stories we are tell ourselves about ourselves and about the process control our decisions.

I wanted to become an entrepreneur a long time ago. When I was 22, which was ten years ago, I realized I didn’t want to do the 9-5 thing forever. I wanted to build something of my own.

But it took me ten years to get to the point where I decided to finally take the plunge. I had all the excuses you could think of!
