[Ep 63] Ordinary Moments Vs. Extraordinary Moments

Boom ShikhaPodcasts Leave a Comment

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about the challenges of staying in the moment. When we realize that every moment in our life is extraordinary in its own way, and we can learn from each moment in its own special way, that is when we will truly start living in the present moment and changing our lives.I notice whenever I go to any cafe, or restaurant, that most patrons, including myself, are busy consuming content on our phones, rather than spending time with the people that we went there with. Or we are busy spending time in our busy minds, rather than observing the magic that the universe plays out for us every day.Somewhere else is always better and more interesting than the present moment.Instead of spending all of this precious time with my family or friends, I’m always far, far away.

Podcast Content

In this podcast episode, I will be chatting about the following things:
  1. Comparing ordinary and extraordinary moments.
  2. My own experience with a friend over dinner.
  3. Understanding the comparison of places and people in Chang Mai.
  4. How interactions with real people is more important than those on social media.
  5. Other amazing things and other stuff (you gotta listen to get it).
There are a lot of these ordinary moments – meals, conversations, gatherings – that we take for granted and exchange for a drop of entertainment that we get from our phones. We get away from these present moments because we believe that that this instance is ordinary and doesn’t deserve our entire attention. We are hoarding our attention for some better moment, that never actually arrives. That moment will never arrive. That special moment. Because all moments are special.
