If you know me, then you know that I love to chat. I love to talk about various topics and my views on them. So, having this podcast gave me a platform to share my ideas and perspective with everyone listening in the world.
It gave me a sense of power. The fact that no one is interrupting me and I can say whatever I want is empowering.
Even if no one is listening, I’d still do this podcast because it helps me discover my mind and thoughts. It helps me be more conscious. I need this podcast to congeal my beliefs.
Consistency Is Not Easy, But It Is Essential
In the beginning, I thought to myself that this is a lot of work. Recording an episode is draining to me. I’ve thought about stopping this a few times.
But when I didn’t do this for a couple of weeks, I felt something missing inside of me. I missed talking to myself and the world. When I did the 40th episode, I realized that I’d be doing this for a long time.
There are so many podcasts that have stopped after the fifth or the tenth episode. It is said that the 40th episode is a milestone for a podcast to be running. Once you hit the 40th mark, it grows on you.
This podcast has taught me to be consistent and committed. It is a part of me now. I need to do this for a long time to be sane. Other things I need to do to be stable are journaling, meditation, yoga, and writing. I am incomplete without them.
You can start a podcast without knowing all the technicalities. It is the easiest thing to do. If you ever think about starting a podcast, do it. We need more people who are interested in sharing their ideas. This world needs more people like you.
