In this episode, I talk about being selective with the things we do in life.

After seeing many people use Snapchat, I wanted to be on Snapchat. But that feeling of missing out was out of fear.
Although it didn’t seem like a good idea, I tried it out.
And it didn’t work for me. Snapchat is not my cup of tea.
Having fear about something is okay. But you have to be conscious of it. When you make a to-do list, think about why you want to do those things.
Is it out of fear? Or is it because you truly want to do them.
I wanted to write on Medium. That feeling came entirely out of fear.
But I thought about how Medium could fit in my schedule and my plans. After a thorough analysis, Medium turned out to be a good fit for my business strategy.
Being Selective And Strategic
If you’ve been doing something for a long time, it doesn’t mean you have to keep doing it. If something isn’t working, there’s no point in wasting your limited time on it.
Being strategic with everything you do is vital. Take a step back and analyze, “How does this fit with my strategy?”
Although it’s not meant for you, doing things to keep up with the crowd and business gurus is a dangerous move. You could have anxiety and frustration.
Don’t do something because of the fear of missing out. Think about how it will be useful to you.
Will it make you happy and content? Or will it just add another burden of a thing on your to-do list?
