I Want To Live Little No More

Suffering is due to our disconnection with the inner soul. Meditation is establishing that connection. – Amit Ray

One meditation style that is extremely hard for me, but something that I like to practice from time to time, is ‘Observing the observer.’ I’m not an expert in this style, but what I have found is that there are thoughts that flow back and forth across my consciousness, and if I lift the veil on those thoughts, there is a deeper me.

This deeper me is the essence of me.

She (for lack of a better pronoun) is always there – serenely sitting and observing everything. She is unaffected by the waves of thoughts, the turmoil of emotions, and the ups and downs of life. I compare her to the deep ocean – the storm might affect the top layer of the ocean and cause it to be tumultuous, but the deeper layers are unaffected, serene and calm.

From Now On, If You Want My Advice, You Gotta Pay For It

  • Reading time:4 mins read

When I first went down this path of putting myself online and giving people advice, I did it, because I was called to do so. I had no idea where it would go. But I was happy to keep on taking a step at a time, and see where the trail would end.

Now, I have been blogging and podcasting for 3 years now, and I get a lot of viewers, and listeners, who message me on a weekly basis, asking me dozens of questions.

Of course, I am not famous or anything, but certain people tend to connect with my words, and they message me asking for support.

In the beginning, when I was just starting, and I had more time, I gave my time to people freely. I have answered hundreds of questions till now, through email, messenger, and other formats.

How Are You Giving Your Power Away Every Day?

  • Reading time:11 mins read

As I get older, I realize more and more that there are so many ways in which I give away my power daily as a human being, and as a woman. I think it is something we are all so used to doing, that we don’t think twice about it. It is common practice to be taught as children to give our power away, and we carry those habits through into adulthood, without a second thought.

Most of us have habits that are helping us give our strength and power away, but we haven’t taken the time to ask ourselves, “Should I still be carrying around these habits over from childhood? Are they still useful? Are they going to get me where I want to get to?”

Let’s discuss some of these habits in detail in this post. I am going to use examples from my own life for this, but I am sure a lot of these examples will resonate with you.

[Ep 44] Un-Smudge That Mask To Discover Your Authentic Self

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about why reconnection with our authentic self is important.

Being yourself seems like a simple statement to follow: wake up and do what you want to do, without fear of judgement.

But, in reality, we often tend to restrain or suppress our authentic self in order to fit in, without even realizing it.

“Ourself” varies according to the situation: in front of our parents, friends, clients etc. These invented selves are normal, yet they make it tricky to be aware and reconnect with who we truly are.

Today, I know within myself that I am a writer, but it hasn’t always been this way.

I want to share with you some insights into my discovery, or more specifically, my rediscovery.

[Ep 25] Find Your True Self And Voice; Be Authentic

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about finding your true voice: authenticity as they call it. I believe that most of us have no idea what our true selves actually look like. If we were to ask someone what they truly were like, without any masks, they would have no idea at all.

For a long time, I was the same. I hid my true self from other people. I would put on a mask, thinking it would be easier to conform, to be more like the people around me.

But wearing this mask constantly was absolutely exhausting. Not only was I mentally drained, but I was unconsciously pulling myself away from who I really am, deep inside.

In order to be “accepted for who I am, as I am”, I had to accept myself.

Authenticity isn’t just a buzzword anymore. It is one of the most crucial ways in which you will connect with your loved ones, your clients, and your friends.
