Why Do So Many INFJs Ignore Their Intuition, When It’s Truly One Important Superpower

  • Reading time:6 mins read

If I had to tell people one thing about myself that I absolutely despise, it’s this – I hate that I ignore the signs and messages that my Introverted Intuition (Ni) sends me on a daily basis. Even when it has lined the messages with neon red LED lights and flashed them in front of my face, I still manage to disbelieve its importance, or veracity.

It’s not just me, though. Lots of INFJs message or email me on a weekly basis with stories of how they ignored their intuition to their own detriment, and that still didn’t teach them to stop doing that foolishness. It irks us to no end. We are like Spiderman who knows he has the capacity to save the world, but spends all of his city chasing after Lois Lane instead. I mean, lust aside, how many people in the world have such a powerful intuition at their fingertips? Not many.

Why can’t we just appreciate the messages coming to us from our intuition? Can’t we just believe what it says? Why do we doubt its accuracy, time and time again? Why do we falter and disbelieve and end up needing more proof?

4 Powerful Ways You Can Build Your Introverted Intuition, INFJs – It’s Your Superpower, Use It Well

  • Reading time:7 mins read

One of the reasons I believe INFJs have a hard time fully coming into themselves, and becoming the best version of themselves, is because they are unable to fully trust and connect with one of their major superpowers, their Introverted Intuition (Ni). The lesson here – Build Your Intuition!

It isn’t easy, I agree. I am an INFJ and it took me, I would say, around 30 years to really truly appreciate and believe in the information that my intuition was sending my way. It’s interesting, because our Ni collects all of this seemingly random information from the world around us, assimilates it into bits and bytes of properly datafied information, and then is able to pull out astute conclusions from it, that will baffle and stupefy any bystander by its accuracy and insight.

How does it do that? For the longest time, I was mystified by its powers. I would know things, without knowing how I knew them. I would make accurate judgements or have explicit insights about individuals or situations around me, and I would have no idea how I came to these conclusions.

Eventually, I realized that my Ni works in mysterious ways, and I learned to just let it do its own thing. It would send me all of these precise observations, and instead of being afraid of where this information came from and how scarily accurate it was, I now just accept it.

This is brilliant information that I have a grasp upon due to my powerful intuition. I’m lucky. I should just accept it. This is where I am right now with my Ni.

Our Heart Always ‘Knows’ Faster Than Our Heads

  • Reading time:5 mins read

I was speaking to a friend of mine recently and she asked me a question that acted like a sort of eureka moment for me. She asked me how much longer I was going to keep thinking that I had some kind of time debt to pay off. And how much longer would it take for me to pay off that debt.

You see, even though, I am living my ideal life right now, I feel like I wasted my life basically from the time I was 21 to around the age of 29. It was all about partying, wasting time and energy on nonsense, clubbing and drinking, buying too much shit, and running after the next shiny object. Even speaking about it makes me really angry and disappointed in myself.

Of course, if you believe that everything is happening for a reason, then that phase in my life had to happen for this phase in my life to begin. But, and this is a big but in my head, I couldn’t accept that theory for the longest time. The only thought that went round and round in my head was that I wasted my best years, on nothingness. I wasted my time, and energy on nonsense.

I felt like a failure, and if I had to stop feeling like a failure, I had to pay back those years, by working twice or thrice or ten times as hard right now.

[Ep 90] Trust Your Intuition Without Disbelief And Question

  • Reading time:2 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be talking to you about our intuition and why we should always trust it, no matter what. Your intuition is strong and powerful, and it can see more than what us mere humans can see. We are literally blind compared to our intuition’s sight and vision.

If your intuition is telling you to go down a certain path, then it’s most likely for a reason that you can’t see yet. But you will eventually be able to see the reason if you keep on trusting your intuition. Gut feelings. They cannot be explained. They can only be lived. The only thing we can do with them is to trust them and experience them.

Podcast Content

  1. What is your intuition?
  2. Why should you follow your heart?
  3. Don’t doubt it, just trust
  4. Our intuition is bigger than us
  5. Believe and trust in your intuition

There have been times in my life when my intuition has told me to take a certain path and I know deep within my heart that it is the right path to take. There is no way to explain how or why. It’s just a feeling inside of my body, deep within.

This is my intuition speaking to me, guiding me. If I meet a person that might be dangerous or if I’m in a bad situation, the hairs on my body will stand up. This is my intuition telling me that I need to be alert and careful.

It can be scary not understanding why you’re doing something or why you’re taking a certain path in life. But your intuition does really know what is best for you and will always guide you correctly. It doesn’t want to play games or hurt you. It cares for you and wants to see you flourish in life.

If you just take a leap and trust your intuition it will put you on the right path. Trust and believe in your gut. It will not lead you wrong.

Whenever You Doubt Yourself, Take A Step Back And Hold Your Heart

  • Reading time:6 mins read

I have a lot of doubt in me, and that’s normal. That’s what I have realized after speaking to dozens of creative people. Everyone has doubt. It’s similar to how everyone has a soul. If you are human and have a heart, you are going to have an abundance of doubt sitting around either buried deep in your closet, or out in the open, hanging around everything you do. And everyone you meet.

This post isn’t about beating doubt. That isn’t something we can actually do. It might not even be something that we need to do. It can stay there in the background like a hum. Like some white noise that hasn’t really quite realized what it’s true purpose is. So it stays there.

But I have started this new ritual – newish to me, where every time I feel doubt, I have started placing my hand on my heart. My beautiful, beating, tender, emotional heart.

My Heart Knows Even If I Don’t

As I get older, as I meditate more, as I connect more with myself, I’m realizing how powerful a heart really is. It is really the least appreciated organ in our body. We don’t even think about it mostly. It just sits there, diligently pumping blood through our entire body, day in and day out. Moment by moment. Working hard, beneath the surface, without so much so as a thanks.

But it’s role is so much bigger than pumping blood through our body. That is just one of those mundane roles that it has taken on, because that’s how humble it is. In fact, it is so powerful that it has been put into a cage, our ribcage, so that perhaps it would stay small. But even a ribcage can’t hide its beauty and its glory.

You see, a heart is all about energy. Our heart may pump blood all day long, but more than that, it pumps hundreds of joules of energy through our body, our spirit and our surroundings.

Energy that cannot be seen or touched. But can only be felt. You know exactly what I mean, don’t you? You have felt it. The energy that a heart can feel. If you’ve ever been in love, you’ve felt that energy. It is immense, it is bigger than you and I could ever be.

It’s just quietly pumping all of this energy through us, to give us energy to love, to be creative, to dance, to have sex, to move. But not only that, it is using all of that energy to connect us to the universe, to that higher eternal source. And finally, it’s also big enough to take on the energy of the people around us, so it can transmute it into something awesome.

I Put My Hand On My Heart, Because It Soothes Me

My heart is so tender. It’s so soft. I love it so much. I might sound crazy right now, but that’s exactly how I feel. Perhaps, this is a manifestation of self-love. All of that energy that my heart is pouring into me, all of that work it is doing with my intuition, and my environment, I love it for that. I love myself for it.

To live in such a cruel world and to still have heart, isn’t that the act of the highest courage?

Whenever I feel doubt. Or I feel down. Or I feel like my world is completely tumbling upside down, I put my hand on my heart. It’s not about feeling my heart beat and realizing that I am just a human, minuscule and here just for a moment. But to realize that if I am lucky enough to be given such a powerful, and eternal heart, which can engulf the entire universe within it, if it wanted to do so, then why am I complaining?

I put my hand on my heart, and I feel the eternity of the world inside of me. Everything is precious, and I am even more so. The universe has worked so hard upon me. To make as perfect of a being as possible. Even if that perfection isn’t always visible, it can be visible to you when you place your hand on your heart.

Feel that power manifest through you. Wow!! Just feeling that energy pulse through me, makes me feel in awe of myself. There can be no doubt anymore. How can I feel doubt when all of that beauty is surging through ME?

If You Feel Fear, Put Your Hand On Your Heart

The same thing happens when I feel fear. I put my hand on my heart, and I feel a surge of gratitude, and safety surge through me. My heart is so beautiful. It works so hard. It connects with everything.

Every human that comes into contact with me, every soul, they connect not with my body or my face, but with my heart. They see my heart and I see theirs. We might not say it like that in our language. Or we might not talk about it face-to-face.

But our souls and spirits know. They see the hearts of everyone that comes into contact with them. The heart that works so hard to connect with everyone and to tell everyone that I love you!!! You are eternal, beautiful, and I love you.

Even if we are fighting with them, our hearts will connect and tell everyone that we are theirs and they are ours. That we are in love with everyone and everything. That we are here for a few moments, but we are going to take full advantage of those moments.

There is no need to feel any negative emotion anymore. Take a deep breath, move your hand, your beautiful nerve-filled gorgeous hand onto your heart, and feel the eternity of you in each heartbeat. You have deluded yourself into thinking that you are here for a few moments and then gone. In fact, you have been here several times before, and you will be here several times henceforth.

No need to fear. You have all of the time in the world. You are eternal. Just listen to your heartbeat and sing that song for you. Touch it. Hold it. Tell it you love it as much as it loves you.

How Do You Know If You Are Doing The Right Thing?

  • Reading time:12 mins read

I have been thinking about this question a lot recently because there has been a barrage of people doing wrong things on this planet. Like being racist, or sexist, or homophobic, and more. But then people argue with these exact same individuals about the fact that they are being cruel or wrong in what they are doing, these people don’t understand. They don’t get why they are wrong in how they treating these other human beings.

In their minds, it is completely and absolutely justified.

Now this has happened many times in history and will probably keep on happening many times again, especially if as humans we don’t learn from our past or our mistakes.

The reason concentration camps and their cruelty happened was because the people running the camps believed that they were in the right. They were doing something right to fix the world that according to them would be broken until a certain type of people were completely annihilated.

This kind of thing still exists, and is happening all over the world and has happened all over history.

Don’t Take Advice From People Who Barely Know Who They Are

  • Reading time:11 mins read

Being online and posting so much stuff on the Internet all the time, I get a lot of feedback, good and bad. Feedback is fine with me, because the meaning inherent in giving feedback is, “I’m giving you this feedback, because I think you can do something with it. But if you choose to throw it away, then I’m fine with that.”

Some feedback I incorporate into my life and some I don’t. No one ever comes after me with a battleaxe. But advice – now that’s a different beast altogether.

People who give advice are giving it because they know something or they think they know something better than you. They are imbibing all of these pearls of advice (wisdom) over you so that you can someday aspire to be as good as them. But, seriously, would you ever be able to get close to them? Never!

The meaning inhere in advice is that “I’m giving you this advice, because I am better than you somehow, and you better take this advice. Otherwise, you are going to burn in the fires of hell forever and ever.”

The More I Meditate, The More My Intuition Builds Up

  • Reading time:5 mins read

One of the main reasons I am such an advocate of meditation is because of the effect it has on intuition. For those of us, who are looking to build their intuition, or connect better with our gut, meditation is one of the most powerful tools I have found. In this blog post, I’ll answer your questions about meditation and its relation to intuition.

Why does Intuition Matter?

So many of us spend way too much of our time listening to the outside voices in our life, like our parents, society, and the world. Instead of listening to our inner self, our true self, and our authentic self, we listen to everyone else. If all of us spent less time listening to the outside world, and actually listening to what we truly want, we would be living a more fulfilling life.

For the longest time, I heard my intuition tell me what I should be doing with my life. But my parents told me to take another path. I listened to them at first, because it felt like the ‘right’ thing to do. I wanted to be a good daughter.

But constantly, that voice inside my heart, my intuition kept at me, telling me I was on the wrong path. My intuition was adamant that I should change my path. The thing about our intuition is that if at first we don’t listen to it, the voice gets stronger and stronger, but eventually, if we don’t listen to it, it stops talking to us altogether. Luckily enough, my intuition kept bugging me, and telling me to try a different path.

For ten whole years, it told me I was on the wrong path. Everything I did just didn’t feel right, because it wasn’t the path for me. When we are living on the right path, everything falls into place seamlessly. When we are living the wrong path, everything seems stilted, suffocating, and slow-moving.
